Hello DJ’s, its been a looooong time since our last post, so here’s to the new year! *Raises a cold beer bottle* …Cheers!
This post is a draft that I have had sitting around for a good year and never actually posted it, probably lack of time to write a proper story. So here goes the post without all of my extended jabbering.
You all have heard it and have probably taken part of one of those arguments about DJs being musicians and the tools of the DJ being instruments. Are they? Are they not? This issue is constantly debated so I am not going to start another big debate here, just watch and let’s wrap this thing up, ok?!
OK, so it doesn’t have strings, and yes, it needs electricity (unlike a guitar or a piano), but it is one of the best examples I can give of how our trade continues to evolve and the steps that DJ’s supporting the core of our craft will more than likely have to take in the near future in order to outgrow the stale, and at times lame market we stand within (yes, I am talking about you, button pushers!)
I just can’t wait to learn more about this concept and what has happened to it (since 2008 or so?)! I’ll make a post about it when I find out more.
Meanwhile check out more musical badass-ness here:

We have been following ScratchLIVE since version 1.4 or so and as it is expected with a version upgrade of any software that moves into the 2.0 realm, the debuting features of this upgrade are nothing short of AWESOME.
